(12.12.07) New Architectural Map of Oslo

Get Acquainted with the Buildings and Architecture of Oslo

New Architectural Map of Oslo

When Oslo became capital of Norway again after 1814, many new public buildings had to be constructed. The Architectural Map of Oslo starts with this booming period - and ends with another!

Nearly all buildings in Oslo are from the last 180 years, and a stroll in the city will give you access to typical buildings from almost every decade, ending with the spectacuilar new and hyper modern Opera House (opening April 2008). In the new map you'll get acquainted with the city and find a simple but comprehensive tool for everyone wanting to know more about the architectural history of the city and see some of the best contemporary buildings.
