The International Ibsen Festival takes place
23 August - September 2012. Ticket sale has started.
The biannual Festival at the Nationaltheatre, hosts Ibsen productions from all over the world.
The repertoire includes the Theatre’s own productions, as well as guest performances, seminars, debates and other events.
The International Ibsen Festival is a tribute to Henrik Ibsen, Norway’s greatest playwright and his ground-breaking work challenging the theatrical conventions of his time.
En Folkefiende, by Rimini Protokoll has been commissioned especially for the festival. This will be the opening performance on the 23 August.
Eraritjaritjaka by Heiner Goebbels closes the festival on the 8 and 9 September. Goebbels is is this years winner of the International Ibsen award.
