Kystleden's fjord cabins: Vestli (near Nesodden)

© Oslofjordens Friluftsråd

Self-service cabin on an island in the Oslo Fjord. Must be booked and payed in advance - see the website for more information.
You can book on the web or by contacting the Oslofjord Outdoor Recreation Council (OF) by phone on +47 67 55 49 90.
The "Vestli" cottage is located by the Oslo Fjord; north of Ommen, on the western edge of Nesodden.

"Vestli" cottage is owned by the state and is a recreational area of six decares (1 1/2 acres). "Vestli" has one bedroom with four beds, and open-plan kitchen/living room. The cottage has electricity, but not running water. There is a well near the cottage. The kitchen is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and other basic utensils. No food is kept in the cottage. The four beds are furnished with mattresses, woollen blankets and pillows. You will therefore have to take along sleeping bags, sheets and pillowcases. There is a boat for the guests to use. Since the cottage is unattended, guests will have to clean and tidy up after themselves (Failure to do this will result in a fine). Take along a tea towel and dishcloth. "Vestli" is located all the way down by the fjord and can be reached either by taking the passenger ferry Prinsessen, with your own vessel, or by bus/car.
No pets allowed in the cottage!
