You can book on the web or by contacting the Oslofjord Outdoor Recreation Council (OF) by phone on +47 67 55 49 90.Ytre Vassholmen Island is an outdoor recreation area owned by Bærum Municipality. The old cottage on the east side of the island, "Nissenhuset", has been refurbished for overnight stays with six bunk beds divided between the bedroom and living room. A 17-foot wooded boat, a Strandebarmer, may be used by guests.No pets allowed on the island, owing to nature preserve regulations!The cottage "Nissenhuset" is on the east side of the island. The cottage has electricity but not running water. You must take along drinking water and water for washing etc. in jugs, which you may borrow from OF's office. You must take any rubbish with you when returning to land. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, stove and other basic utensils. No food is kept in the cabin. The six beds are furnished with mattresses, woollen blankets and pillows. You will therefore have to take along sleeping bags, sheets and pillowcases. Since the cabin is unattended, guests must clean and tidy up after themselves (Failure to do this will result in a fine). Take along a tea towel and dishcloth! The cottage is to be used for outdoor recreation: Having parties in the house is not permitted.
