Closed in 2013.Self-service cabin on an island in the Oslo Fjord. Must be booked and payed in advance - see the website for more information. You can book on the web or by contacting the Oslofjord Outdoor Recreation Council (OF) by phone on +47 67 55 49 90. "Butikken", former shop on Langåra Island, has been refurbished for overnight stays for up to 14 persons divided into four bedrooms on the upstairs floor. You can either use your own boat out to the island or take the passenger ferry Rigmor/Rigfar. You will be spending the night on the upper floor of "Butikken". The kitchen, which is equipped with a refrigerator, stove and other basic utensils, must be shared by all the guests. No food is kept at the cottage. The fourteen bunk beds are furnished with mattresses and pillows. You must therefore take along your own sleeping bags, sheets and pillowcases. Since the cottage is unattended, guests must clean and tidy up after themselves (Failure to do this will result in a NOK 1,000 fine). Take along a tea towel and dishcloth! "Butikken" has electricity and well water. We recommend boiling the water before using it to drink or cook with. No pets allowed in the cottage!
