Ingierstrand is a popular, family-friendly beach situated just south of Oslo on the east side of the fjord.
There is a designated area for use of disposable grills. The beach also has toilets, a wheel chair ramp and showers.
The funkis-style facilities were designed in 1931 by architects Ole Lind Schistad and Eyvind Moestue. The much-photographed diving tower and the rest of the facilities have recently been renovated, and the Ingierstrand Bad restaurant was reopended in 2013.
