The Oslo Pass gives you unlimited free travel by bus, tram, underground, boat and local train with Ruter AS and NSB (Norwegian State Railways), within zones 1 and 2.

New zones

Starting from 2 October 2011 there are new zones for the public transport in the Oslo area. Until 1 October the Oslo Pass was valid for zones 1-4. From 2 October Oslo Pass is valid in zones 1 and 2.

NOTE: You can travel the same distance as before with the Oslo Pass, only the naming of the zones is changed (there are fewer zones, each covering a larger area). As before, the Oslo Pass is valid for travel to e.g. Lillestrøm (now in zone 2Ø), Ski (zone 2S) or Asker (zone 2V) - places that used to be located in zone 4.

This is how far the Oslo Pass takes you:

On the 2011 Oslo Passes it is printed that they are valid until zone 4, but this refers to the area that until 1 October was zones 1-4.

Night buses

The night buses run between 1 am and 4 am Saturdays and Sundays.

The Oslo Pass can be used on night buses in Oslo, and the rest of zone 1.

On night buses in Akershus (outside zone 1), special night fares apply - tickets can be bought from the driver. The Oslo Pass can not be used on these buses.

Transportation to the airport

The Oslo Pass is not valid for transportation to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, as the airport is located outside zone 2. Please note that the transportation with Flytoget (airport express train) or Flybussen is not included in the Oslo Pass.

Tusenfryd amusement park

Oslo Pass holders have free transport to Tusenfryd amusement park (bus no. 541) as it is located within zone 2.
