There's no doubt that Oslo has a lot to offer children, but let's ask the children what they think about our city.
We went to one of Oslo's top attractions for children, the Norwegian Museum of Science & Technology, to hear what some children think about Oslo and what the city has to offer them:

To one of the parents: What do you think about Oslo as a city for children?
Do you have any suggestions for families travelling to Oslo with children?

I liked the most the things about the human body (Ed. note: the exhibition Kroppen - The human body - in the Science Centre). That was really cool!

Markus: The soccer team Vålerenga!
Mother: No, we don't cheer for Vålerenga.
Marksu: Yeah, I cheer for them!
Oslo for children?
We have just been on day trips to Oslo before, and usually we go here to the Museum of Science & Technology. We also use to go to the city centre to eat. Then we often end up at Mr. Hong or McDonalds. Maybe not the most original and exciting, but the kids love it! |

I love all the experiments! This is the most exciting museum I have visited in Oslo!
The best of Oslo
Yesterday we went to Bygdøy and visited the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Viking Ship Museum and the Norwegian Museum of Cultural History. I liked all the museums, but there should have been more viking ships! At the Museum of Cultural History my favourites were the school and the stave church. We also saw the change of guards at the Royal Palace - that was fun!
Oslo for children
We think Oslo is a great city to bring children to. We would have loved to move here - it's so nice with the Oslo Fjord and the nature so close to the city centre. Daniele had a really great time yesterday at Bygdøy, and he took about 160 photos! |
