In November and December three of the world's most popular metal bands are coming to Oslo Spektrum. Slipknot will perform on Monday 10 November, followed by The Unholy Alliance Chapter III with headliner Slayer two weeks later and metal veterans Motörhead on 14 December.
The American nu metal band Slipknot are known for their masks, heavy guitars and screamingly good vocals. Since starting in 1995, the band has won a Grammy and sold millions of albums. The new album, "All Hope Is Gone", came out on 25 August and has been called ther band's heaviest and most experimental to date. Tickets cost NOK 450 and are on sale now.
On Monday 24 November it is time for a mini-festival in Oslo Spektrum, when four bands play at The Unholy Alliance Chapter III. The headliner is Slayer, considered to be one of the"big four" thrash metal bands along with Metallica, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Trivium, Mastodon and Amon Amarth will play before Slayer closes another metal night in Spektrum. Tickets now on sale. Seats cost NOK 425/475 and standing room is NOK 475.
Motörhead have the honour of closing "metal month" in Spektrum. Since 1975 they have produced a mix of punk rock, classic rock and heavy metal. Monday 1 September marks the release of the band's twentieth studio album, and on the same day tickets for their show in Oslo on 14 December go on sale. The tickets cost NOK 425 and are available from 9 am.
