Hito Steyerl
This is the first extensive presentation of the German film maker and theorist Hito Steyerl to be held in Norway. Steyerl has produced a large number of films and texts about documentary filmography, philosophy and social criticism. Her filmic works balance between cinematic and art traditions, and she uses a number of documentary and investigative techniques in her works. This exhibition consists of both older and more recent works. Steyerl is best known for her film Lovely Andrea, which was last shown at the Documenta 12 exhibition in 2007.
