Hønse-Lovisas hus
Visit this idyllic little house on your walk along the river Akerselva. The name Hønse-Lovisas hus ("Hen-Lovisa's house") comes from a literary character - Hønse-Lovisa never existed or lived in this house.
It was built in 1800 as a sawmiller's house, and has housed different residents and businesses through the years.
Today it is a café and cultural meeting place, where arts and crafts of today meet tradition and history of the past. Every day you can get a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake, or something good for lunch. Also arts and crafts for sale.
