Holmenkollen FIS World Cup Nordic

Holmenkollen Ski Festival, part of the FIS World Cup Nordic Disciplines, gathers the world's ski elite in nordic disciplines for exciting competitions in the beautiful Holmenkollen area every year. Tens of thousands of spectators take their place inside the Holmenkollen Arena or along the ski tracks and make the festival an entertaining event.

The 2010 World Cup competition will be the first major event after the rebuilding of the Holmenkollen Ski Jump and Arena, and is considered "trial championships" before the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships in Holmenkollen in 2011.

Programme 2010

Saturday 13 March
10.00-10.45: Nordic combined team - ski jumping
11.00-12.30: Cross-country 30 km, women, mass start, free technique
12.45-15.15: Cross-country 50 km men, mass start, free technique
14.45-16.45: Official training, ski jumping
15.30-16.40: Nordic combined team - 4 x 5 km relay
17.15-18.20: Ski jumping, qualification

Sunday 14 March
10.00-10.45: Nordic combined individual, ski jumping
10.45-11.45: Cross-country sprint, free technique, qualifying - men/women
12.00-12.40: Nordic combined individual, cross-country 10 km, gunder
13.30-13.45: Opening ceremony, the new Holmenkollen Ski Jump
13.45-15.30: Ski jumping - individual
15.30-17.45: Cross-country sprint, free technique, final - men/women

Transportation
There is no parking in Holmenkollen.

Metro (line 1) from Majorstuen to Besserud or Midtstuen.
Eight departures per hour 08.00-18.00 (Saturday) and 08.00-19.00 (Sunday).
From Midtstuen, walk up Bomveien; this will take you to the top of Midtstubakken (approximately 1 km).
From Besserud, walk up Dr. Holmsvei to the entrance gate by Lille Gratishaugen (approximately 1,5 km).

Buses will run between Majorstua and Midtstuen, and from Bogstad to Besserud. For the return to Bogstad people must be prepared to walk. Park-and-ride sites will be opened at Bogstad Camping.

Allow for plenty of time, and be prepared to do a little waiting.
