Lille Herbern

Lille Herbern is a small gem in the Oslo Fjord. Close to the peninsula of Bygdøy lies the small hide-out island Lille Herbern. It has a waterfront restaurant that can accommodate up to 65 guests, and a terrace that seats approximately 130. There is also a chambre separée for maximum 10 guests.

Since 1929, Lille Herbern has been a restaurant where the people of Oslo come to enjoy fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere, and it certainly ranges among the oldest restaurants in Oslo. The season at Lille Herbern starts in the beginning of May and lasts till mid-October.

How to get there:
Transport with bus or ferry to Bygdøynes. From there, walk approx 300 m; take the first road to your left after the museums. Wait or call for the ferry to take you across to Lille Herbern island.
