Olavesen Spa Grand Hotel
Olavesen Spa is the world's only truly Scandinavian spa concept.
The spa centre opened on December 14, 2007 in the prestigious Grand Hotel in Oslo and its 450m2 contains a swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, and other water treatments.
The spa centre is designed by Ajas Mellbye and Kristine Storeide from Mellbye Architects, and Marianne Olavesen from Olavesen Spa Centres. The design is built around the idea of a unique Norwegian spa experience, where clean, elegant lines and extraordinary lighting is mixed with well-known Norwegian materials.
Olavesens self-developed light treatment is photodynamic therapy, developed and inspired by 2000 year-old science.
