Oslo City Museum (Oslo Bymuseum)

The Oslo City Museum at Frogner Manor in the Vigeland park is a museum of cultural history with one of the largest collections of paintings in Norway.
The history of Oslo is illustrated by thematic exhibitions showing, among other things, the development of Oslo and the city's cultural and commercial activities through 1000 years.

The main building and its interior from 1750-1900 is open July-Aug.
Guided tours in Norwegian July - Aug: daily at 13.30. Sep - May: Sun at 13.30.
Guided tours in English July-Aug: Sat and Sun at 14.30.

Café Mathia serves coffee, tea or mineral water, cakes, sandwiches and icecream.

CLOSED: Mondays, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, Easter Monday, 1 May, 17 May, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, 24 Dec-15 Jan.

Free entrance on Saturdays and with the Oslo Pass.
