Sixty films will be shown at this year's festival. Festival passes are now on sale at Filmens Hus, Rockefeller and the festival stand at Eldorado kino.
Among the highly awaited films at the festival are the opening film, Transpotting director Danny Boyle's "Slumdog Millionaire", screenwriter Charlie Kaufman's directorial debut, "Synecdoche, New York", Guy Ritchie's "Rocknrolla", as well Borat director Larry Charles' new film, "Religulous".
Oliver Stone's George W. Bush biography, "W.", finally gets its Norwegian premiere at the festival. Two more biographical films will be shown at Rockefeller on 25 November: "Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson" and "Patti Smith: Dream of Life".
The festival pass costs 60 Norwegian kroner and is mandatory at all screenings. Pass holders get a free "coffee of the day" at any Stockfleth's coffee bar on every day of the festival. In addition to the festival pass a separate ticket is needed for each screening at a price of 60 kroner per film.
Tickets to the screenings at Filmens Hus (Tancred and Lillebil) can only be purchased at Filmens Hus, open 12 noon-9 pm daily. Tickets for Eldorado cinema screenings are available at all of Oslo Kino's cinemas in Oslo and at www.oslokino.no.

Movie buffs should also note the date 20 November; there will be an interview with Michael Madsen at Cinemateket followed by a double screening of his movies "Reservoir Dogs" and "Hell Ride".
