Where can I buy the Oslo Pass?
You can buy the Oslo Pass in our online shop.
The Oslo Pass is also on sale at various places in Oslo, including our Tourist Information Centres in the city, hotels, campsites, youth hostels and some museums. Please see our list of sale spots.
How do I use my Oslo Pass?
To be valid, your Oslo Pass has to be stamped with date and time the first time you use it. From that point on, it is valid for the number of hours indicated on it, either 24, 48 or 72 hours. Children's passes are valid for children aged 4 to 15 years. Please present your pass on request.
Where do I get the Oslo Pass booklet?
When you buy your Oslo Pass, you will receive the booklet, describing all the benefits for Oslo Pass holders.If you book your Oslo Pass online, you will receive the booklet at our Tourist Information Centres when you pick up the passes with the voucher.
If you book the Oslo Package the booklet and passes will be given to you upon arrival at you hotel.

Are there any group discounts?
VisitOSLO offers 20 % discount on Oslo Passes for school classes. In order to receive this discount, please contact our marketing department: marketing@visitoslo.com. We also recommend our special school packages.Congress delegates can buy discounted Oslo Passes if the Pass is included in the delegate fee and purchased for ALL delegates. Other than that we do not offer any group discounts.
How many museums would I have to visit to make the Oslo Pass pay for itself?
If you visit two museums (e.g. the Nobel Peace Centre and the Museum of Cultural History) and take the ferry boat to the museum island Bygdøy, the card has already paid for itself.Are there any discounts for students and senior citizens?
Yes. Students who have an international student card, receive 20 % discount on Oslo Passes bought at our Tourist Information Centres.Senior citizens can buy Oslo Passes for children. You must be 67 or older to get the senior discount.
How do I get to Oslo airport Gardermoen with the Oslo Pass?
Since the airport is located outside zone 4 the transportation from the city centre to the airport is not included in the Oslo Pass. But you can get to the airport at a reduced rate if you take the local NSB train from Oslo to the airport. With the Oslo Pass you have free transportation to Lillestrøm station. From there on a ticket costs 75 NOK. The easiest way is to buy the ticket at the station before getting on the train. Remember to show the Oslo Pass in order to receive the discount.Please note that the transportation with the Airport Express Train (Flytoget) or the Airport Bus (Flybussen) is not included in the Oslo Pass!
Is the Oslo Pass valid on night buses?
The Oslo Pass is valid on night buses inside the city of Oslo. On night buses in Akershus (outside Oslo), special night fares apply - tickets can be bought from the driver.The night services are buses that run between 1 am and 4 am Saturdays and Sundays.
Where do I pick up my Oslo Pass order?
Bring your voucher to any of our tourist information offices, and you will receive your Oslo Pass. There you will also receive the Oslo Pass booklet describing all the benefits for Oslo Pass holders.Location and opening hours of our Tourist Information Centres here.
What is the 96 hour Oslo Pass?
When you book the Oslo Package (accommodation + Oslo Pass), an Oslo Pass for the whole stay is included in the price. You will receive your Oslo Pass upon arrival at you hotel. This special Oslo Pass is valid for 96 hours. Basically it gives you the same advantages as the other Oslo Passes, except the free mini cruise. The mini cruise is only free with the 72-hour pass (the other Oslo Passes give you a discount).Do any museums in Oslo have free admission?
Yes, some museums in Oslo have free admission. That includes the following attractions that are part of the Oslo Pass: Film Museum, Norwegian Armed Forces museum, Galleri Würth, Historical Museum, the National Museum for art, architecture and design (= the National Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Art, the Museum of Architecture and the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design), Oslo City Museum, Intercultural Museum and the gallery at Voksenåsen hotel.The Munch Museum, Stenersen Museum, Vigeland Museum and City Hall offer free entrance during the winter season (October–March).
Which languages are included in the Oslo Pass booklet?
The Oslo Pass booklet contains explanations in Norwegian, English and German.VisitOSLO also produces a free guide that is printed in the following six languages: Norwegian, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian. Most of the offers described in the Oslo Pass booklet are also mentioned in this guide. You can pick up the Oslo Guide at our Tourist Information Centres in Oslo or download a PDF version.
