About Rica Hotels
In 1975 Jan E. Rivelsrud and Prince Carl Bernadotte founded the company Rica Hotell- og Restaurantkjede A/S. Today Rica Hotels is the largest and only hotel chain in Norway that covers the entire country. Rica incorporates nearly 80 hotels in Norway and Sweden. Rica Hotels offers hotels of consistently high quality which are tailored to your needs in the market sectors of business, conferences and leisure.

Enivronmental policy
As part of their environmental focus, Rica Hotels have decided to aim for the stringest environmental requirements within the hotel industry, and all their hotels will be certfied with the official Nordic eco-label; the Swan.

Local food at Rica Hotels
The aim with the local food project has been to strengthen the unique gastronomic identity based on Norwegian food culture. At the hotels throughout the country that have become involved in the initiative, the guests can select locally produced items from the menu.
By relying on locally produced food, Rica Hotels contributes not only to viable management, use and preservation of biological diversity, but also to less transport = reduced climate emissions and reduced road throughput and to less need for cooling = reduced energy use. In addition, many of the local producers deliver organic products, which means that the use of organic products increases day by day.
