Oslo School Museum

Closed until January 2009.
Oslo School Museum presents the history of education of the city of Oslo. The museum is centrally situated, a 10-minute walk from Oslo Central Station. It is located in the old schoolmaster's residence in Oslo's oldest primary school; Møllergata.

Exhibitions:
The exhibitions present the history of education in town schools, and education in Oslo from 1890 to the present. You can experience the old school cafeteria and dentist office, study objects used in the teaching of natural sciences, and learn about the differences in teaching of girls and boys.
The museum has two authentic classrooms from the years 1900 and 1950.
The museum has a historic collection of school objects. The collection consists of books, student works, school furniture, maps, films and other teaching materials.

Activities:
Open Sundays 4 times per year with different activities.
School classes are invited to participate in role playing in a lesson from year 1900.
