The Oslo region boasts many interesting spaces for art. Oslo’s art highlights include the Munch museum, Astrup Fearnley Museum, and Norway’s National Museums. Henie Onstad Art Centre in Asker, Kistefos Museum at Jevnaker and Galleri F 15 in Moss are other places that show international caliber art. For a local twist, try one of the region’s many smaller exhibition spaces.
Few other European cities can currently compete with Oslo when it comes to city renewal and new works of contemporary architecture. Architectural attractions elsewhere in the Oslo region include the glass cathedral at Hamar (‘Domkirkeodden’) and the exciting new development area at Fornebu in Akershus.
