Memorial park with St. Olav's Monastery and St. Hallvard's Cathedral

The Memorial Park is where most of the ruins of some of medieval Oslo's most important buildings.

St. Olav's Monastery from the 13th century is the best-preserved town monastery in the country. The old rooms are only available as part of a guided tour or in connection with events in the monastery, but you also get an impression from outside through the ruins. Next to St. Olav's Monastery, you can also see the ruins of the St. Hallvard's Cathedral, a grand church dedicated to Oslo's patron saint, built around the year 1070 AD. Ladegården Medieval Office offers guided tours of the medieval town.
