Intercultural Museum is a museum that works to heighten the understanding of, and respect for for cultural diversity. The museum collects, documents and communicates knowledge focusing on immigration history and cultural changes in Norwegian society.
The museum aims to present a wide varity of visual art and cultural traditions. Many of the exhibitions can be booked as touring exhibitions.
The museum is located in the refurbished old police station at Grønland, now known as Grønland Culture Station.
Guided tours
Intercultural Museum offers guided tours of the exhibitions in English, Norwegian, Arabic, French, Dutch, German, Spanish, Bosnian, Portuguese, Urdu and Swahili. Tours must be booked in advance.
Closed: Easter, 1 May, 17 May, Whit Sunday, Whit Monday, 20 December-15 January.
