Sofienberg Church was built in 1877 under the name Petrus Chuch, but the name was later changed to Sofienberg. The church is situated in the Sofienberg Park at Grünerløkka.

Sofienberg Church is a popular place to hold concerts because of the excellent acoustic conditions.
