Engebret Café is situated in Oslo's oldest restaurant area. The low corner building was built in the 1700s, and in 1857, Café Engebret opened its doors for the first time.

The menu a large selection of seafood, but the restaurant also offers many game dishes, especially in autumn. In Oslo, lutefisk in great demand around Christmas, and this tradition is followed up at Engebret.

The wine list incorporates most wine-producing countries, but with an emphasis on French wines, as well as the restaurant's own Cuvée Jubileum.

Engebret Café is well-suited for banquets for large and small groups. The lunch table is famous, and during the summer months, guests can enjoy their food at the restaurant's outdoor tables.
