A great place to find a little bit of the country in the city is at a children's animal farm called, "Kampen Økologiske Barnebondegård". Located in Kampen neighborhood in Oslo, it's a small farm with a wide variety of animals, including a donkey. It's especially suited for small children as they can pet several of the animals.
The farm is located a stone's throw from Ensjø metro stop, which is less than ten minutes away via metro from the city center.
