The National Museum - New Museum of Architecture Opened March 2008

The new National Museum of Architecture opened this spring in the old Bank of Norway building at Bankplassen 3, exhibiting none other than internationally renowned Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn. Among Fehn's projects is the Nordic Pavillion in Venice and projects from Saudi Arabia to the North Cape.

Relocation of the National Museum's architecture exhibition space

Set in the beautifully refurbished Bank of Norway building next to the Akershus Castle and Fortress, the National Museum reopens the achitetural exhibitions on March 8th 2008, featuring Norwegian architect Mr Sverre Fehn. Sverre Fehn is Norway's most renowned architect. In 1997 he was awarded the Pritzker prize, the most prestigious, international award for arhcitects. The Norwegian Glacier Museum, the Ivar Aasen Centre, the Aukrust Centre, Villa Busk, and the Nordic Pavillion in Venice are some of Fehn's most important buildings. The opening exhibition is named Intuition - Reflectio - Construction.
