Turnarounds in Oslo

Oslo is getting increasingly attractive as a turn around port in the Nordic waters.

The last five years RCCL has sailed short cruises out of Oslo. MSC has used Oslo as a turn around port and so did Holland America Line in 2011 in addition to RCCLs traditional Oslo cruises.

In 2011 18.000 passengers turned in Oslo, approx. 30% of these were international guests. There is a close cooperation within the city of Oslo (port, destination, suppliers, agents) for professional and seamless handling of turn-around calls.

Oslo has good direct international flight connections. The Oslo Airport (50 km, 19 min with the Airport Express Train) has 79 direct international connections, among these many to the Mediterranean area and as of March 2011 two to the United States. In addition to Oslo Airport we also have Moss Airport Rygge and Sandefjord Lufthavn Torp with another 56 direct international destinations.

Oslo has all the amenities required for an exciting and comfortable stay before or after a cruise. We have frequent international flight connections over seas and to most European destinations, accommodation from high range to bed & breakfasts, exciting attractions and activities, excellent shopping, a variety of restaurants and vibrant night life
