The Norwegian Wood festival is held in mid June in the open-air bath Frognerbadet in Oslo. They always present some big stars, but also lesser known Norwegian bands.
In between the headliners, there are concerts on two smaller stages, Woodville presents and Gramo Underwood, which give up-and-coming Norwegian bands a chance to present themselves to the festival crowd.
This year the festival celebrates its 25th anniversary with an all-Norwegian line-up:
Thursday 15 June:
Susanne Sundfør, Jaga Jazzist, TBA
Friday 16 June:
OnklP & De Fjerne Slektningene, Raga Rockers, Oslo Ess, Klovner i Kamp
Saturday 17 June:
deLillos, Kari Bremnes, TBA
Tickets are available at www.ticketmaster.no.
You can buy a festival pass for all three days ("3-dagerspass"), or just a day pass for one of the days.
