båtOpplevelse AS: Fjord sightseeing Oslofjorden

Daily departures morning and night upon request to our booking office.

Important history and beautiful sights are very close to Oslo harbour, and this sightseeing tour shows you the fjord - all the way out to Steilene! The sunny spring, summer swimming, autumn colours and winter landscapes - the Oslo fjord changes with the seasons!

As the boat starts its journey, get a panoramic view of Akershus Fortress! You can also see the magnificent new opera house, The Norwegian Opera & Ballet, from the sea side.

From there you can see the islands side by side; enjoy the view of the the protected island Hovedøya and the island Gressholmen, known as the "rabbit island" and the original location of Norway's first airport.

You can also see Heggholmen, the richly decorated lighthouse, and Nesoddtangen, where lots of pretty bathing houses line the coast.

We pass the small sound at Kavringen and Ildjernet, as well as Steilene, known for its gruesome history - its name comes from a tool used long ago to torture criminals.

The trip also lets you catch glimpses of Gåsøya, Langåra, Ostøya, Brønnøya, Nesøya, Borøya, Kjeholmen, Grimmsøya, Snarøya, Vassholmene, Bygdøy...and much more!

For those passengers who wish to go on their own to see the museums on the Bygdøy peninsula, it is possible to exit 10 minutes before return to Oslo harbour. On Bygdøy you can see the Viking Ship Museum, the Kon-Tiki Museum, the Polar Ship Fram, the Folk Museum and the Norwegian Maritime Museum.

Departure from City Hall Pier 2.
