Bookshop of the House of Literature
Litteraturhuset (the House of Literature) opened in 2007 and is the first house of its kind in Norway. From basement to loft, the house is dedicated to literature in the widest sense of the word.
On the ground floor you find a well-equipped book shop. It is good, old-fashioned bookshop with books and expert knowledge in focus. It has the book that you want, and you may find what you didn't known you wanted to read.
The bookshop presents a broad selection of Norwegian and foreign specialist literature and fiction, and works closely with the event section of the House of Literature to make sure they have in stock the wrtiers that are visiting the house.
From time to time the bookshop, in collaboration with Kafé Oslo, will organise events like writer's visits and readings.
