Filming in Oslo
VisitOSLO cannot issue or arrange general film permissions in Oslo. In most cases, filming in public spaces in Oslo is permitted without a formal filming permit, especially for small-scale productions using handheld equipment. However, a permit may be required if the production involves extensive equipment, drones, or filming in protected areas or on private property. If in doubt, we recommend checking with The Oslo Film Commission well in advance.
Drone footage
Drone footage regulations are quite strict in Norway and in particular in Oslo, where there is a large no-fly zone covering large parts of the city centre. Read more about drone footage regulations.
