Ferries to Oslo

All year round there are direct ferry connection between Oslo and Kiel in Germany as well as Copenhagen and Frederikshavn in Denmark. Oslo’s port is close to many attractions making the city a popular destination for many cruise ships. Hurtigruten offers two trips along the Norwegian coast starting from Oslo.

Getting to the ferry terminals

Color Line: Ferries to and from Kiel, Germany

The Color Line terminal is located to the west of Aker Brygge wharf. On departure day, there is a direct bus service from Oslo Bus Terminal and the bus stop at Jernbanetorget station at 12.00. The bus stop at the ferry terminal (Hjortsnes) is also serviced by bus 81. Tram 13 stops at Skillebekk, only a 10 minutes' walk from the ferry terminal.

Go Nordic Cruiseline (formerly DFDS): Ferries to and from Copenhagen and Fredrikshavn, Denmark

The terminal is at the tip of Vippetangkaia, just below Akershus fortress. From Jernbanetorget station, you can take bus 60 to Vippetangen. The bus journey takes about five minutes. Walking along the harbour promenade takes you from the terminal to the Opera house and the city centre in about 15 minutes.

Hurtigruten: Cruise from Oslo to Honningsvåg and Bergen and Oslo to Tromsø

MS Trollfjord sails from Oslo Harbour from October to April. Hurtigruten offers two trips from Oslo: Oslo - Honningsvåg - Oslo (13 days) and Oslo - Tromsø (7 days).
