An improvised visit at the Ibsen Museum
A few days ago I was walking along Henrik Ibsens gate and happened to stop by the Ibsen Museum. I have visited this museum a few times before, and in the old days it basicly consisted only of Ibsen’s apartment. Interesting if you liked to know more about the writer and its habits, but that was pretty much it.
Well, the museum has been totally renovated and enhanced with technology. Apart from Ibsen’s home, still available for guided tours, the new part of the museum is very interesting, with videos from performances from theatres located in every continent, including an amazing clip from A Doll’s House in Japanese! The museum also hosts several exhibits.
As an “old” literature student I really enjoyed my visit, and you don’t need to be an expert on Ibsen and drama to enjoy the exhibits and the writer’s home!
