if you've been christmas shopping on karl johan street, you may have noticed a concert stage on the square Egertorget. here there are concerts in december, i think it's almost every day. since the stage is outdoors in the street, the concerts free. i walked by the other day when trond granlund was playing - it was freezing cold but still quite a crowd in front of the stage. i like this kind of events where the muic comes to where poeple are, and it's a nice break from the shopping stress before christmas. i recommend making a stop there when somebody is playing. it's the norwegian salvation army who organises the concerts and you can put money in their christmas kettle if you want.
