On Sunday afternoons I usually don’t do anything but relax. A good place to do this is at Kontraskjæret. This is the small park area at Akershus Festning (The Medieval Fortress) down by the harbour close to the city hall and Aker Brygge. Here you can have picnics or just lie down on the grass and watch the fjord or the people passing by. If you get bored you can explore the beautiful fortress or take a walk at Aker Brygge (or explore the ruins which are the remains of a farm from the 16th century.
The music festival Oslo Live is also on Kontraskjæret.
