The Norwegian wood festival(named after the song by the Beatles) is a festival in the west part of the centre of Oslo.
The festival has a very nice setting since it's located inside the famous Frogner park, with trees surrounding the festival area you almost forget you are in downtown Oslo.
The main stage is a perfect half bowl so no matter where you are you see the main stage.
They also have a smaller “Underwood” stage for up and coming bands, which play inbetween the main stage shows.
Otherwise you find your standard festival tents with junk food and large multinational companies advertising a new products to the youth.
The festival lasts 4 days and the are normally divided by different styles of music.
Artist like Neil Young, David Bowie,Van Morrison, Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed and Iggy Pop have all played once or more times at this festival! Some local Scandinavian heroes like De Lillos and Bob Hund have also played at this festival.
