The stadium of my favourite Norwegian football team, Molde FK, is unfortunately located far away from Oslo. However, as several of the teams in Tippeligaen have stadiums in Oslo and its immediate surroundings, I get to go to quite a few matches every year. A lifesaver for any football fan, I guess! The rivaling teams Lyn and Vålerenga play their matches in Norway's national stadium; close to the centre and just a short walk from where I live. Stabæk has a new stadium just ten minutes by bus from the centre, and Lillestrøm is only 15 minutes away by train. (And if you are a real fan, like me, you can also reach Drammen, Fredrikstad and Sandefjord by train in respectively 35 min, 1 hour and 1 hour 50 min.)
This season I have already seen Molde win against both Lyn and last year's champions; Stabæk. Tonight I will once again put on my beautiful blue and white shirt and join the supporter club "Tornekrattet" in being Molde's 12. man in the match against Lillestrøm.
Fingers crossed!
