When I want to buy something special I go shopping at Grünerløkka. There you can find many small shops owned by young designers and vintage shops etc. These small shops are marked with a sign that says “UNIK”. That means that these shops are a member of the English Wedge-organisation. This organisation support small independent shops like those you find at Grünerløkka. The most important streets are Thorvald Meyers gate and Markveien.
