Last winter (09) we simply had hilarious fun at work. We do have fun often – but it was the first time for this kind of fun. It had been snowing in Oslo for several days. My colleague Nina and I had brought our cross country skis at work, and we met up for some urbanskiing during lunch. And Heidi, another colleague, joined us with her camera.
In what other capital city can you enjoy urban skiing the way you can here in Oslo? Check out Heidi’s pictures of us; in front of The National Theatre, at Aker Brygge, in our main street Karl Johans gate and of course around the Royal Palace. Urbanskiing is fun – it’s not the last time I’m going to practice this sport. But for now it is summer, and I’m going to do a lot of capital-swimming and island jumping in the Oslofjord the next couple of months. I just love the seasons here in Oslo, and think I’m a very lucky person who can work every day with promotion of this great city :-)
