Rapid Growth Leads to Grand OSL Airport Expansion PlansAvinor, which owns and operates Gardermoen, plans to build a second terminal and a new pier at the existing terminal. When completed, the project will increase Gardermoen's passenger capacity to a staggering 35 million pax annually. The first expansion stage should be completed by 2012.

Grims Grenka - Grand Opening in May 2008Oslo's new design hotel has "soft-opened" its purple lighted revolving front doors and designer reception - and 49 individually designed rooms - so far. Before this summer there will be a total of 66 rooms. The new hotel is situated in Oslo's 16th century squares near the Akershus Castle and Fortress, and is promising to be an attraction in itself. "A five star hotel without the attitude," says Director Atle Hovde. The official grand opening will be held in May 2008.

The National Museum - New Museum of Architecture Opened March 2008The new National Museum of Architecture opened this spring in the old Bank of Norway building at Bankplassen 3, exhibiting none other than internationally renowned Norwegian architect Sverre Fehn.
