Athena Wyller

Architecture student and model

Athena studies architecture in Denmark, but grew up in Oslo. The summer nights in Oslo is a source of fond memories for her.

– Many of my most treasured memories are from the Oslo summers and endless hours in the park or at the beach with friends. We used to climb the fence at Frognerbadet and sneak in for some night swimming. I love the Norwegian summer nights, they are so nice and bright and seemingly never-ending.

The photo of Athena was shot at a basketball court in the Grünerløkka neighbourhood. The court is surrounded by trees, and located close to the river Akerselva.

Athena's favourite spot in Oslo is also of the green and lush kind:

– The park in St. Hanshaugen is perhaps one of the nicest places in Oslo. It lies so beautifully located at the top of the hill, to me it’s the heart of the city. My favourite thing is to pick up an insanely good cup of coffee from Java and go sit in the grass.

In Oslo Athena can combine city life and the outdoors.

– The great thing about Oslo is that it’s easy to get to the forest from the city centre. I spend a lot of time in Maridalen and in the forest in general. I grew up in the Frogner neighbourhood, and when I go back there now, I get a bit nostalgic. The neighbourhood is like a little village, everybody – from the youngest to the oldest – knows each other and says hello.

The story is the result of a collaboration with Thecoolgirl.no.
