Maja Hattvang

Blogger and copywriter

Oslo-bred blogger Maja has a lifetime of fond memories from Oslo.

– I can't pick one memory. I have lived my whole life in Oslo. But one of the things I really love is to walk home from a party early in the morning in the beginning of summer. The sun is rising and the birds are tweeting, but everything else is quiet and it smells insanely good. At times like that, I feel like the city is all mine.

The photo of Maja was taken at the Vigeland Museum. Located is the corner of Frogner Park, the museum shows figures and drawings by Gustav Vigeland.

We find Maja's favourite Oslo spot in a different park:

– The café at the top of the park Stensparken, which is open from May to October. You can buy beer in a plastic cup, and just watch people.

If she were to pick one area in Oslo?

– Fagerborg, because it's central and secluded at the same time, with plenty of green spaces and old trees, the most beautiful gardens and one of my favourite cafés, OsloK. One of my favourite things is walking around looking at beautiful, old houses. This area offers plenty of opportunities for that.
