What does Mathilde do?
Mathilde manages international media who want to make programme features or write about Oslo.

The job consists of everything from answering enquiries, arranging and coordinating programmes for the press, welcoming media people, organising press centres for major events, to collecting international press reports and articles about the city.

Who is Mathilde?
Mathilde is a trained teacher, originally from Molde on the west coast of Norway. She fell in love with Oslo when she moved here to study German. A summer job at the tourist information centre really triggered her interest in exploring the city. From the summer job, she moved on to a full-time position at VisitOSLO, working both with international media and with the Oslo Pass.

After ten years in Oslo, Mathilde moved with her husband and two children to Ålesund, where she taught German for a few years, but last summer they packed down and moved back to Oslo. She is very excited to get reaquainted with the city of her heart!

Mathilde loves exploring Oslo, on foot, by bike, and by tram, bus and subway. She particularly enjoys the tram ride home to Nordstrand, with a view of the city from the hills. When spring comes, she likes to go for a run in the Ekebergparken Sculpture Park or around the lake Nøklevann. And during winter, nothing beats getting her skis out and sliding into the Østmarka forest!
