By:Larm is Scandinavia’s biggest music congress and one of Oslo's most important festivals. The combination of congress and festival allows up-and-coming artists to perform with representatives from the music industry in the audience. If you go, there’s a big chance you’ll discover not only the next big thing in Scandinavian music, but also your next favourite artist or band.

Over the course of three days, the festival presents more than 350 concerts in fifteen different venues around Oslo, varying from everything from churches to rock clubs.

For the first ten years of the festival’s life, it was held in a different city every year, but since 2008 by:Larm has taken place in Oslo and has become one of the city’s most important and popular festivals. Artists like Highasakite, Turboneger, James Murphy of LCD Soundsystems and Mayhem have all performed at by:Larm.
