Dex presents

The Oslo Region Dexperience

Join comedian Dex Carrington for some skateboarding, culture, selfie-ing, and fjord cruisin'. Here are some of his favourite spots:

The Oslo Fjord

The Oslo Fjord is a popuklar area for boating, sunbathing, swimming, kayaking and fishing. The scenic gem also offers great food and drinks, as well as accommodation on the islands. Go island hopping by public ferry, starting at the Aker Brygge pier just behind City Hall. Read more: Guide to the Oslo Fjord

The skatepark in Bekkestua, Bærum is part of Arena Bekkestua (pinned in the map above), a multi-sport facility for local youth with outdoor and indoor skateparks, among other things. To get there, you can take bus no. 150 to Nadderud stadion, from there it's a 3-minute walk. Or catch the subway/T-bane, line 3 to Gjønnes (10-minute walk).

Vigeland Sculpture Park

This unique sculpture park presents around 200 sculptures, all made by the Norwegian artist Gustav Vigeland. The park is open all year, round the clock! It's easily reached by tram no. 12, which stops right outside the main entrance. Read more: Gustav Vigeland and Oslo
