Data Controller

VisitOSLO AS, VAT reg. number 963 444 516, by the CEO is the controller and thereby responsible for how your personal information in the Oslo Pass app is treated.

Contact Information

To make sure that your rights are protected VisitOSLO has, according to EU`s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), established a privacy representative who can be contacted on [email protected] (Norwegian) or [email protected] (English).

Data Processor

The Oslo Pass app is developed by Valtech, but VisitOSLO is responsible for the personal information processed in the app. Information regarding payment is sent to payment provider and data processor NETS AS. Information regarding the purchase and payment is sent to pass provider and data processor DocLX Holding GmbH.

Processing of Personal Information

We only process information that is necessary to complete the purchase and the agreement with you, such as credit card details, name, e-mail address and device number. Credit card details, name and e-mail address are submitted by you during the purchase of the Oslo Pass, and the payment is connected to- the order. Your e-mail address is processed for the purpose of sending you a receipt of the purchase. Your device number is processed for the purpose of connecting the Oslo Pass to your phone.

Technical Information

When you use the Oslo Pass app your time of purchase, information about the device; type of device and operating system, location while using the app, viewing history and Firebase/Google Analytics is logged in a Google hosted database. This information is necessary for the solution to work on the given device and is logged to ensure that the app is working properly. This also gives us necessary information to solve problems if an error occurs. When using the Oslo Pass at the museums the attractions will scan your pass with our scanning system, DocLX, provided by DocLX Holding GmbH. This is necessary for financial purposes and statistics.

Purpose

Processing of personal information is necessary for purchase or redemption of the Oslo Pass. The Oslo Pass app sells and gives access to the Oslo Pass, which gives you free entrance to about 30 museums, free public transportation, free entrance to public swimming pools, discounts on sightseeing and other special offers on restaurants, shops and leisure venues.

Access

Employees in VisitOSLO (Oslo Pass team), Valtech and DocLX Holding GmbH only have access to masked credit card details and personal information provided during the purchase. NETS AS has access to all card details.

Data Retention

Information in the app is not deleted from the backend systems when you delete the app from your device. You will need to send us a separate request for having your data to be cleared. Information regarding payment is kept according to the Accounting Act at VisitOSLO AS and NETS AS.

Rights and Legislation

You are entitled to request access, correction and deletion of your own personal information. Please contact [email protected] (Norwegian) or [email protected] (English).

The app is subject to Norwegian law.
