More information on travel with the Oslo Pass

Expanding the area of travel

Customers with Oslo Pass can expand their area of travel by buying tickets for extra zones (zones 3 and 4). Tickets for an extra zone may be purchased as long as the customer already holds a valid ticket for any partial stretch of the journey.

Tickets for extra zones may be purchased with cash from the driver aboard busses and boats. Be aware that you cannot buy tickets for extra zones onboard the subway, trams or Vy's trains.

Night buses

The night buses run between 1 am and 4 am Saturdays and Sundays. The Oslo Pass can be used on night buses in zones 1 and 2.

The Oslo Pass can be used on the boats to Bygdøy (ferry to the Bygdøy museums), to the islands in the Oslo Fjord, or to Asker and Nesodden.

Please not that Oslo Pass holders have free transport to Drøbak by bus, but not by boat. This is because the bus stop is located within zone 2, while the ferry is in zone 4.

Tusenfryd amusement park

Oslo Pass holders have free transport to Tusenfryd amusement park (bus no. 505), as it is located within zone 2.

Transportation to and from the airport

The Oslo Pass is not valid for transportation to Oslo Airport Gardermoen, as the airport is located outside zone 2. Please note that the transportation with Flytoget (airport express train) is not included in the Oslo Pass.

Tickets on local trains
 to the airport
If you wish to use an Oslo Pass at Vy's trains (local trains) to and from Oslo Airport Gardermoen, you may purchase a two zone single ticket at the Oslo Oslo Visitor Centre, at Ruter's customer centres, newsstands like Narvesen and 7 Eleven and at Vy's customer centre at the airport.

The Oslo Pass covers the stretch between Oslo and Lillestrøm, and must be activated and valid during the trip.
