What is your go-to way to relax?
My go-to way to relax really depends on the season. On warm summer days, I love spending time with friends at Sørenga, by the Akerselva river in Nydalen, or anywhere by the water. When I want some time to myself, one of my favourite things to do is to relax in one of Oslo’s beautiful parks with a good book.
What is your favourite café or restaurant in Oslo?
I have to say, diplomatically and truthfully, that my all-time favourite is The Top Restaurant at Radisson Blu Plaza. Not only because I work there, but because it genuinely offers a special experience with its atmosphere, views, and quality. When it comes to coffee, I’m quite specific and have high expectations. In the city, I often stop by Stockfleths at Prinsens gate, and closer to home, Åpent Bakeri Lillo is my go-to. They both serve excellent coffee that never disappoints. I also enjoy places like Dinner, Le Benjamin, and other hidden gems.
Where is the best view in Oslo?
For me, the best view is from Grefsenkollen. It’s a place I love to hike to on my free days. The view from the top is breathtaking, overlooking all of Oslo, the fjord, and beyond. It’s also where I go to reflect and reset, a space that clears my mind and reminds me how beautiful this city is.
Where is the best place for a walk?
My favourite walk is along the Akerselva river, starting from Nydalen all the way to the city centre. It takes around 50 minutes, and it’s perfect for both body and mind. Whether I’m walking alone to think or with a friend to chat, it’s always a refreshing experience that reminds me how walkable and green Oslo really is.
