Where do you go to find excitement, to feel alive?

– A dip in the fjord during winter certainly makes you feel alive! And it's less daunting for most people when combined with a sauna session!

I love how the saunas make us use the fjord more, all year around, bringing life to the fjordside area. For so long, the inner parts of the Oslo Fjord were not accessible to the public.

Also, the saunas dotted all along the harbour take us back to the time in the 1800s when there were bathhouses along the inner part of the Oslo Fjord.

Line works as a guide at Oslo Guidebureau. She and her colleagues are incredibly knowledgeable, and can take you on guided tours through Oslo's streets.

What is your favourite museum or attraction?

The Fram Museum, I love polar history!

Another favorite place is the Akershus Fortress. It takes us back to another time. You can truly feel the history when walking around there, and a walk in the evenings certainly makes me believe in ghosts.

I love looking at the Oslo fjord from behind its old walls. It is no wonder that they decided to build the fortress exactly where they did, with its great overview of the fjord. I like to imagine how they were standing there looking for potential enemies.

Where is the best place for a walk?

– From Opera House along Havnepromenaden to Akershus Fortress. You'll get to see a combiniation of the old and the new with a ‘fjord-view’.

Best place to relax?

In the forest surrounding Oslo, called Marka. Preferably combined with a coffee, waffle or pizza break in one of the many cabins (called "hytte" or "stue"). My favourite is Kobberhaughytta.

Best view?

From Ekeberg.

Best time of year in Oslo?

Every season has its charm – I love the colours in autumn, skiing during, all the beautiful cherry trees during spring and the long summer nights.
