Parks and nature attractions

Winter, summer, spring or fall – nothing's like a day out in the open!

Oslo is a city full of green space, both in the form of parks and forest areas. Did you know that the geographical middle point of Oslo is actually somewhere in the forest between the lakes Sognsvann and Maridalsvannet?

The forest is not the only way to enjoy some time in nature. The city's many parks are there for you to revel in. During the warmer months, they are the preferred meeting places for Osloites, and the bright summer nights make it so that you won't want to leave when it's time to go to bed.

The parks are also perfect for you and your family to spend quality time together, whether you'd like to spend the day looking at sculptures, play in playgrounds, or organise a picnic, bringing with you a football or some badminton rackets.

Bring a cup of coffee, put on some good shoes and enjoy these naturally green attractions.
